The CNC Router 860X780 SMC 4 is a computer-controlled machine tool that offers three-dimensional processing capabilities in industrial automation processes. The machine’s fundamental operating principle involves precise linear movements along the X, Y, and Z axes, interpreted by the SMC4-4-16A16B control unit, to process a specific geometry on a material using a cutting tool (spindle). These linear movements are achieved through precision ball screws (1605 on the X-axis, 2510 on the Y and Z axes) driven by JSS Promertech series stepper motors, and 25mm (X, Y axes) and 20mm (Z axis) linear rail systems. The control unit processes numerical data in G-Code format (such as NC, Txt, Tab, Fan) and sends step signals to the motors. These signals, utilizing microstep technology, enable motors with a standard step angle of 1.8° to move with higher resolution (40000 pulses). In terms of system integration, the Siemens inverter precisely manages the speed and torque control of the spindle motor, while drive protection features such as overcurrent, overvoltage, phase error, and thermal protection guarantee the machine’s safe and long-lasting operation.
